came back from band camp last night! it was quite an enjoyable one, too bad it was only 1 day and 1 night. my group's name is Tchaikovsky! so the first thing we did after briefing and whatnot was combine. after combine was some mass game where we played the shoe game. we're supposed to take off one shoe and then run to the other side to take someone else's shoe and return it to that person. we also played dog and bone. the game organiser guy was funny, he was like
organiser: when i say neh-neh you say pok! neh-neh!
us: pok!
orgniser: neh-neh!
us:pok!
after eating dinner we were supposed to get ready for this night game, whish was the most fun game of all! they came up with this murder case of this composer guy called Alexander Borodin. we were given a piece of paper which was the police report, after that we are to go around the school to find the suspects listed in the report for questioning and to ultimately solve how and why Borodin died. one of the 'suspects' was Borodin himself, we can talk to him through a 'medium' but we never managed to question all of the suspects. super cool setting, but the real story was quite lame, haha. so during our search for the suspects, there are some people especially in the basketball court acting as ghosts! they were freaky man! we only got to shower after the night game ended which was abt 12? and we slept at around close to 2. and belive it or not, some people actually stayed up just to study! which was definitely controversial, haha.
the next day, had some mass sports games thingy which tired everyone out, followed by 2 hours of sectionals. i finally got to play the choice piece at my pace! when the woodwinds combined, claire and ben appeared behind the student conductor and started goofing around, pretending to conduct and everything, haha. after that was lunch followed by almost 3 hours of combine! everyone was really tired during combine la, but we still played. for me, everytime i didnt have to play, i would just sleep, haha. after that was some station to station game around level 1 of the sch.
in the end, Tchaikovsky was the highest scoring group! it's nice meeting them and talking to them during meal times. and our leader's damn funny, haha!
Tchaikovsky! (:
after being dismissed at abt 7.20, i had to go to church for choir practice then my phone died! i thought it was held at the sanctuary but it was actually in the luther hall. then the fatigue from the combine came back, haha! and today's my day off! yay! but i have to return colin his reed and maybe see how his band's been doing. oh well, til next time!
